Description
Francisco Ramon de Murrieta (the founding Father of this historic estate) was a true leading light of the Spanish wine industry. His was one of the first Rioja Houses to be established - as far back as 1852 - but his attention to detail was what truly set him apart. Adopting French wine making techniques and adopting a 'single estate only' approach he created wines of great stature and complexity.
Tasting Notes
Absolutely classic Rioja - as Marques de Murrieta has always been renowned for. Delicate tannins with berry, cherry, plum and hints of liquorice ensure the wine is both approachable and satisfying.
