Based on The Cromarty Firth thanks to the water and lush soils since the Distillery was created by Alexander Matheson in 1832. Dalmore is both unusual and unconventional in its use of Stills of many different sizes which it claims adds to the complexity of its whiskies. Furthermore those at the distillery have to ignore the harsh North Sea winds instead of enjoying the warmer climate of the nearby Speyside Valley. Read more.
