Description
Despite the fact that Georgia Moon counts itself among Heaven Hill’s Corn Whiskey Portfolio, it's hard to take one look at it and not think one thing: moonshine. I mean, just look at it, for goodness sake. The folksy mason jar adorned with typeface that’s designed specifically to appear hand-written; the paper label that looks like it’s made out of a 1950s shopping bag... It’s called Georgia Moon, people - it’s hardly subtle. It’s almost as if Heaven Hill Distilleries are very much trying to appeal to a market that delights in quaint notions of authenticity and manufactured modesty.

The Bottle Club Sour Cocktail Recipe
With thousands of different bevs on site, and millions of potential cocktail combinations, you can imagine just how hard it was to choose one to crown the official cocktail of The Bottle Club. It required hours and hours of researching, tasting, mixing, and tasting a little more. Thankfully, our Head of E-commerce Tim found the drink we'd been searching for when he was in Canada, and was served this delicious twist on a New York Sour. The cocktail was that flavourful, the bartender thankfully wrote out the recipe for us on a napkin, and Tim brought the recipe back to our team. The Sour Cocktail is versatile – whether you decide to switch up the Whisky, sour or sweet element, the end result will almost always be delicious – just remember to stick to that golden ratio of 2 parts Whisky, 1 part sour and 1 part sweet (but hey, if your personal preference is different, you do you!). If you’re after something sweeter, bourbon or brandy are both great options. Prefer a smokier sour? A scotch will be your go-to. When it comes to the sour substitution, lime is a more subtle option if you find lemon too overpowering, alternatively you can opt for a sweeter pick like orange or a more savoury choice like grapefruit. And when it comes to the egg white and no egg white debate, well, it’s completely up to you!
